kenwood midcentury luxury home
6785 Ken Arbre Drive | Kenwood – Columbia Township
**sold november 2024**
This home was designed in 1951 by architect Alfeo Martina (University of Cincinnati architecture class of 1938) as his personal residence. His family owned Martina Mosiac & Tile co, now known as Martina Brothers Co, Inc (the same company that did the terazzo work at Union Terminal and the Netherland Plaza), which explains the full tile walls in the bathrooms, and the generous use of slate, stone & terrazzo throughout.

Lovely, graceful setting in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood - right in the heart of it all! We recently got this lovely note from one of the original occupants: "it was with great sense of pride and joy that I viewed the house that my father Alfeo J. Martina designed and built. I moved to the house when I was just about 3 years old and stayed there till I was 8 or 9. I remember that all the other houses in the neighborhood looked just old compared to our home. Certainly, in 2024 that house has withstood the test of time...it is timeless. Again, what a joy to go thru the rooms and remember back in the early 50's where our Christmas Tree was, and where we played.....and so many more memories." Talk about good juju!
