This 1941 Cape Cod style house has experienced a metamorphosis into a contemporary home. Outside you'll immediately notice the new 2-car-wide concrete driveway, extended/covered porch, carport, dormer and cedar accent wall.
-
New windows and paint. New decking and two stairways onto the porch. New sleek gutters, downspouts and lighting.....
-
This is the place. Will it be your new address?
-
Transformed inside and out, here's a view of the open kitchen/living room. Exposed beams and natural light through the dormer with vaulted ceiling..... Here you can also see the full-size pantry.
-
From the kitchen, you can see the living space, the side lit front door, the recessed lighting, the granite island with double 60/40 sink, the new casement windows and the glass block window....
-
A second view reveals the stairs to the 2nd floor and access to the second bedroom (or office?).
-
This space is roughly 21 x 18 for your living/dining design. Note the high-end vinyl laminate, copious, dimmable lighting and natural light as well!
-
Here, a view from the west wall toward the kitchen reveals the guest closet and beams. On the left is the door to the primary bedroom and a hallway to the rear deck and yard.
-
A closer view reveals the down/up lighting sconces and the natural light from the dormer above.
-
Closer still, the fully granite counters, stainless appliances and brushed nickel hardware come into focus. The ample quiet-close drawers and cabinets, lazy Susan and wine drawer are nice surprises.
-
The primary bedroom is on the first floor with exposed beams, vaulted ceiling and walkout to your private rear deck. Theses features were added to give the space a larger feel. We think you'll agree.
-
a 2nd view of the primary bedroom shows the vaulted ceiling above the beams.
-
And a third view shows the closets, bath and access.
-
And here is that private 16x16 deck leading to the rear yard and a small, older patio. The rear yard is quite deep and features a refurbished, brick fire pit.
-
Off the primary bedroom are these two double closets, a full bath and 1st floor laundry.
-
The primary bath.....
-
The frosted glass/brushed nickel shower.....
-
The tile (walls, insulation, wiring, plumbing, lighting, trimwork)... ALL NEW!
-
The primary suite also contains this first floor laundry - just seconds away and ready for your new stack system.
-
Still on the first floor, in the rear left is a large 2nd bedroom with carpet and spacious closet.
-
Here's a second view.....
-
And STILL on the first floor, guests will love the easy access to this bright partial bath.
-
Here's the general floorplan (prior to a few modifications)
-
Upstairs is a like an apartment of its own with this sitting/gaming? space, full bath and third bedroom.
-
Here's a view of the bedroom facing back toward the sitting area. This second floor is completely carpeted with double closet. And what you can't see is LOTS of insulation, new windows and attic storage in two spaces.
-
Here's that closet inside the third bedroom,
-
Isn't this a cool 2nd full bath? It's situated for the 2nd floor user's needs...BUT also available to the 2nd bedroom/first floor user too.
-
Per the contractors: The basement is dry now. Repair was done to the drain area outside the back walkout door - which would fill and trickle in. The front right corner downspout was removed and rerouted via French drain. Prior to that there was an occasional trickle. The basement space is open - with one storage room and an adjacent (safe?) room under the front porch. New water heater and setups for laundry here.
-
Here's a second view of the basement space.
-
BACK OUTSIDE: The front door is handsome. The flower box is anxious to get some REAL flowers in it - come spring. The front porch is handy and dry and decked with composite decking.
-
This feature of cedar wall stands proudly with the double casement windows (effectively a picture window) with southern exposure for natural light all day.

A total redo in Indian Hill Schools! The seller has brought ‘this old house’ out of the dark ages and added pizazz!
